Eat your vegetables!

We all know the benefits of eating fresh vegetables. In fact, it seems like the more research we do, the more we find out about the disease-fighting benefits of a polychromatic smorgasbord of plant-based foods.

But me? I like a salad fine, but I’m prone to find myself angling for a cheeseburger or a hoagy or sesame chicken at lunch. And I can’t be alone: if Americans were consistent about eating our vegetables, we wouldn’t have so much obesity, heart disease, hypertension, and so on.

So why don’t we eat our veggies? Tastes. Habits. Ease of access. Because eating cheeseburgers for lunch is what we’ve always done.

Turning our attention to the business world . . . surely you can think of some cases where you know what you should be doing — you know you should be “eating more vegetables” — and yet somehow you let custom or taste or simple unthinking habit keep you on the same old unfruitful course, the same old diet of business cheeseburgers.

What are the “cheeseburgers” in YOUR business diet?

What are the “vegetables” you know you SHOULD be eating?

What will you DO to shift from one to the other?
