Meet me in Seattle!

Live and in person! Along with several of my Hoover’s colleagues, I am currently attending the annual meeting of the Special Libraries Association in Seattle. We’ll be here until Wednesday, June 18. Read on, especially if you like prizes.
Useful things to know:
- As we typically do for the SLA meeting, we have a large exhibitor booth (it’s toward the back of the main exhibitors’ hall . . . near the food) staffed with friendly, knowledgeable pals of mine who would love to talk with you about anything Hoover’s-related. We can demo, upgrade, take requests, handle problems, et cetera.
- Even if you don’t have a particular question for us, it’s not a bad idea to stop by, since we often give things away — both high-grade swag and high-grade prizes.
- How can you put yourself in the running to win a prize? Come talk to me. As I started doing at the opening reception earlier today, I’ll be talking nonstop with Hoover’s users about their experiences using our product. If you’re a Hoover’s user — paid or free — I’d love to have ten minutes of your time to learn what you like about our offerings and what you’d change if you could. And when you do come talk to me, we’ll enter you for a nifty prize. So please do stop by and look for the smiling mug you see in the right-hand column of this blog.
- You can reach me directly via e-mail at twalker {AT} hoovers {DOT} com or on Twitter @Twalk. If you’re going to be at the show and would like have a cup of coffee or the like, send me an e-mail — I love making new friends.
- This is news to me, too, but apparently Seattle has more to offer than just the Space Needle. Who knew? (I kid, I kid!)
So, if you’re attending the SLA meeting, please give us a shout!

And more than coffee too. Great town, very good local brew beers, depending on where you’re staying. If you get a chance to stir around take it. Great food and the fish market down on the water is both fun and good eating. JIC you didn’t already know all that :).
