Monday-morning advice: Get a layup.

That’s what basketball shooters do when they’re struggling. When ordinary shots just aren’t falling, they work their way close to the basket to manufacture an easy shot.
Often, it’s that first bucket or two that breaks the ice. Psychologically, you feel that you can score in this game. The points start flowing.
Monday morning is the perfect time to get a layup. Find an easy shot you can make — a couple of points you can score in the next ten minutes. Who knows what sort of scoring roll you might get on for the week?
