Once again: Do Not Multitask.

Via Matt Perman:

“The point is, when someone tells me they’re good at multitasking, I know that they’re inefficient. Saying you’re a good multitasker is the same as saying that you’re good at using a less effective method to get things done.”

From Cali & Jody:

We don’t want to sound like a scold, but just so you know, people who multitask experience “higher levels of stress, frustration, mental effort, feeling of time pressure and mental workload.” All that pressure to be available can really blow up in your face.

And, once more with feeling, from the late Peter Drucker:

“Effective executives do first things first and they do one thing at a time.”

Now go and sin no more.

I would so have to agree with Cali & Jody, because I am going at multi tasking and to be honest, I am so stressed out, frustrated and mentally run down. Like there are days that I feel as though I can’t cope any more.
