SXSW victory!

ppicker

Thank you all.

Remember when I asked you to vote for my submission in the SXSW Interactive Panel Picker? Well . . . we’re in! You can check out the official listing here:

The Next Round of 2010 Interactive Programming Is Here!

The only teeny-tiny drawback is that we’ve been approved for the “Core Conversation” format, which means:

  • smaller venue,
  • no A/V setup,
  • only two presenters, and
  • in general, more seminar-esque.

Now, that’s a good thing, in that my favorite part of any presentation I do comes in the interaction with the audience. Plus, it motivates me to fill the room to overflowing, then run a session that blows everybody’s doors off so that we can do a full-bore panel for SXSW 2011. (Hey, if it’s a long-term world-domination plan, might as well start now, huh?)

Anyway . . . woo-hoo!

Will I see YOU at SXSW 2010?

Great news Tim!! I attend SXSW every year and will be looking forward to seeing you there! Let me know if there is anything I can do to help you “fill the room to overflowing”. As your Sr. Product Trainer hosting up to four web audiences per day, I do love a LIVE audience! Go ahead Tim, blow the doors off!!!

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Cynthia — see you there!

Tim:

Congrats on having your panel selected! Next big question: Which of your “confirmed panelists” are getting the boot?

Well, I don’t want to give *too* much away, Bryan. And in fact, the Core Conversation format is “limited” to two in the sense that only two speakers are listed in the program and receive free passes to SXSW. We’ll do something creative with our approach to this session.

Ahh, I see where you’re going with this (I think). Looking forward to what you come up with it?

Any chance you’ll also be pimping your forthcoming book on sports allegiances at the very end of the session? That might be fun–if done in good taste.
